YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy policy.

Last updated: 3 September 2026

Built By Gill respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through builtbygill.com and our coaching enquiries, why we use it and the rights available to you under data-protection law.

1. Who controls your information

Built By Gill is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, email info@builtbygill.com.

2. Information we collect

We may collect your name, email address, country, coaching interests, goals and any information you include in an enquiry. If you become a client, we may also collect information needed to deliver your programme, such as contact details, fitness goals, progress information, dietary preferences and health information you choose to provide. We also receive limited technical information needed to operate and secure the website, such as IP address, browser type and server logs.

3. How and why we use it

  • To respond to enquiries and take steps requested by you before entering a coaching agreement.
  • To provide and administer coaching services under our contract with you.
  • To keep the website secure and reliable where this is in our legitimate interests.
  • To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
  • To use optional analytics or send marketing only where you have given consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.

4. Health and sensitive information

Some coaching information may concern your health. We will only process this information when necessary and with an appropriate legal condition, normally your explicit consent. You can withdraw that consent, although this may limit our ability to provide a suitable service.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may use trusted providers for website hosting, communications, forms, payments, coaching delivery or professional advice. They may only use information as instructed and must protect it. We may also disclose information when required by law.

6. International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we use legally recognised safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information only as long as needed to respond and follow up, normally no longer than 24 months. Client and transaction records may be retained for the duration of the relationship and afterwards where required for legal, tax, safety or dispute purposes. Technical logs are kept for a limited period appropriate to security and troubleshooting.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us to access, correct, erase, restrict or transfer your personal information, or object to its use. You may withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at the email above. You also have the right to complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

9. Security and children

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information. Our services are not directed to children, and a parent or guardian should contact us before information about anyone under 18 is provided.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The latest version and its update date will always appear on this page.
